In Transition 2.0
Many thanks to all who helped out with and turned up to watch IT2.0. It was such a beautiful glowing autumn day, the likes of which seem few and far between in this changing climate…. that I am sure many people took advantage of the weather to be out and about. We will show the film again, and let you know where and when, so don’t worry if you missed it . The film explains what the Transition movement is about , and offers a number of examples of projects both in the UK and further afield. Well worth watching.
People also had the chance to talk to Chris Gathercole about the progress with the Whalley Hydro Project and Forest Garden. We had some interesting conversations over tea and cake afterwards, and it got me thinking about the name Transition – it seems that many people are baffled/ put off/ confused by the name and feel it gives no indication as to what the group are about.
So , although we would keep Transition Town Clitheroe as our official name ( of the Charity) perhaps we could operate some of our projects under another name, possibly Incredible Edible Clitheroe . Any ideas/ comments would be most welcome
