Clitheroe Garden Club annual show

A date for your diaries if you are a grower, or photographer; cake baker, jam maker or  creative child or simply interested in being part of a long standing local tradition.

You don’t have to be a member of Clitheroe garden club to enter the show. there are  a large number of categories, something for everyone.

The  annual show will be held at St James’ School on  Saturday 25th August – doors open to the public form 2.00pm prizes presented at 4.00pm.

Clitheore Garden club is a thriving example of not for profit community enterprise. It is taken forward by the dedication and hard work of a few volunteers. One of these stalwarts of the club, Lawrie, is looking for people to help with growing plants for the very popular sales hut, and volunteers to help repair the hut ; if you think you would like to get involved and offer a helping hand contact Lawrie on 01200 443318

Thankyou to those that attended the “Get Growing” event in the Library

Transition 2.0

I have just had a quick watch of the Transition 2.0 film which is showing at the Saint Mary’s Hall by Stonyhurst this friday. There are some great stories being told. It seems to have come a long way as a movement since the first film was made.
