Clitheroe librarians are brilliant. They are eager to use our fantastic library facilities to host more community engagement events- and as this provides excellent resilience building opportunities TTC are happy to be involved.
We will have a visioning tree, and be sowing seeds in paper pots that we show people how to make, as well as chatting to people.
Everyone is busy , and no-one has a full day to spare, but if a few people can spare a couple of hours this will work well.
We also need some yoghurt pots- it makes it easier for people to carry their paper pots away, so if you could collect some and bring them along that would also be helpful.
Anyone who can give an hour or two on Saturday 12th May , please could you let me know via email, indicating preferred and available hours and also leave a telephone contact , so that I can draw up a rota.
Apologies for any inconvenience. The meeting scheduled for April 20th has at the last minute received another apology which tips the balance in favour of rescheduling. It will now be held same time, 7pm, same place, Primrose Studios, but a week later ,27th april. Looking ahead , planning, discussing, all welcome.
You may already be aware of the 38 degrees/wwf campaigns, but in case you aren’t here are a couple of sites where you can make your views known to the EU via our own Prime Minister.
We need to put pressure on David Cameron to secure the EU target for a crucial 30 degree reduction in emissions from 1990 levels by 2020 . If you would like to write to Mr Cameron to let him know why this is important to you visit:-
(Sorry-it’s been a long day and I can’t remember how I created the hyperlink on this system….. you will just have to copy the url- apologies)
ps This campaign can also be reached via the WWF website

Just to introduce myself – I’m Katy Holden and I’ve volunteered to act as secretary for Transition Town Clitheroe, as Charlie is stepping down to go off on his travels! I’ve been joining in with the Transition Town group for over a year now and fully support all the activities they are involved in. I’m also active member of the Clitheroe Fairtrade Group and feel that the two have a lot of things in common – basically that we all want the world to be a better place to live in.
I’m in the process of getting up to speed with the new website, but hopefully I will be a help to the core group and take on some of the work load of communicating information etc. I may not be able to attend all the events planned for the future, but will be in the background keeping my eye on what is going on.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Click on the link to read the minutes of the AGM held on March 17th . many thanks to Mark Foord for taking and writing up the minutes of the meeting.

If you have ideas to offer and would like to be involved please come along to the meeting at 7pm, Primrose Studios.
Please see calendar for details of planned events described above – we welcome involvement from people who want to be the change and make transition happen!!
